John is a Managing Director in the Investor Relations team responsible for managing and developing investor relationships in the Americas. Prior to joining the Investor Relations team, John worked as an investment professional on AlpInvest’s Co-Investment team focused on both private equity and mezzanine transactions globally. John joined AlpInvest in 2011 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he worked in the Investment Banking Division focused on M&A and capital raising activities for companies in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sectors. John received a BSc in Finance from Pennsylvania State University, and currently holds Series 63 and 82 licenses.

John Borys

Peter Cornelius
Peter is a Managing Director responsible for analyzing the economic and financial environment for private equity markets and examining the implications for AlpInvest Partners’ strategic asset allocation. He joined the firm in 2005 from Royal Dutch Shell, where he was Group Chief Economist. Previously, he was Chief Economist and Director of the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Program. Prior to that, he was head of international economic research at Deutsche Bank and a senior economist with the International Monetary Fund. Peter studied at the London School of Economics and the University of Göttingen where he received his doctorate in Economics. He has been a visiting professor at Leuven Gent Vlerick Management School and a visiting scholar at Harvard University. He is the author of International Investments in Private Equity (Elsevier, 2011) and a co-author of Mastering Illiquidity (Wiley, 2013).

Yasuyuki Kanda
Yasu is a Managing Director and devotes his time exclusively to marketing AlpInvest products in Japan. Yasu is employed by Carlyle Japan Equity Management LLC (“CJEM”), an affiliate of The Carlyle Group. He joined Carlyle from McKinsey and Company, where he was an engagement manager. Prior to that Yasu worked at Tokio Marine Asset Management for nearly 10 years, firstly as the head of research of their US entity covering Japanese institutional investors for their alternative investments and thereafter as the CEO of their London entity. He has also worked at AIFAM Inc, a hedge fund of funds based in New York and Mizuho Financial Group (International business development). Yasu received his MBA from the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Tokyo.

Alexander Sprengers
Alexander is a Managing Director in the Investor Relations team responsible for managing and developing investor relationships in EMEA. Prior to joining AlpInvest Partners in 2011, he spent six years at The Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO in Amsterdam and Hong Kong within the investment banking team focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions advisory. Alexander received a MSc in Informatics & Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Carolyn Weimer
Carolyn Weimer is a Managing Director - Partner and Head of Investor Relations for Global Investment Solutions. In this role, she leads the AlpInvest Investor Relations team which comprises 17 professionals across New York, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Since joining Carlyle 21 years ago, Carolyn has held various roles helping to build our Investor Relations Group. Along the way she has played key roles in relationship management, new product development and fund formation. She is based in Washington, DC.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Weimer was a Client Service Analyst at Wellington Management Company, LLP in Boston. As a member of Wellington’s Public Funds Group, she served as a liaison between the firm and some of its largest clients.
Ms. Weimer received an AB, in biology and comparative area studies from Duke University. She currently holds Series 63 and 82 licenses and maintains registrations in 50 states.

Joseph Gallitano
Joe is a Principal in the Investor Relations team responsible for managing and developing investor relationships in the Private Wealth channel. Prior to joining AlpInvest in 2020, Joe led private wealth development for HarbourVest Partners. In addition, he led private wealth initiatives for Partners Group and worked in the Goldman Sachs Asset Management division. Joe received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. He currently holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Eline Gunning
Eline is a Principal in the Investor Relations team within AlpInvest, focusing on clients and prospects in Europe and Asia. She is based in Amsterdam and joined AlpInvest in 2014. From 2009 to 2014, she worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions advisory department of Rabobank International in Amsterdam and New York. Eline received her MSc and BSc in International Economics and Finance from Tilburg University and a LL.B in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam.

Kalvin Zhang
Kalvin Zhang is licensed in Hong Kong by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and accredited to Carlyle Hong Kong Equity Management Limited (licensed with the SFC with CE Number AZD 484), and focuses exclusively on AlpInvest products.

Stella Kim
Stella is a Vice President in the Investor Relations team within AlpInvest, focusing on clients and prospects in the Americas. She is based in New York and joined AlpInvest in 2015. Prior to AlpInvest, Stella worked at Blackstone’s GSO Capital Partners, where she was supporting investor relations and fundraising activities. Prior to GSO, Stella worked at Brevan Howard, a macro hedge fund. Stella received her B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from George Washington University.

Neel Gangani
Neel Gangani is a Vice President in the Investor Relations team within AlpInvest, focusing on clients and prospects in EMEA. He is based in London and joined AlpInvest in 2022.
Prior to AlpInvest, Neel was a Senior Investor Relations Manager at Hermes GPE, managing client relationships across their Private Equity business. Prior to that, Neel worked at Keyhaven capital, a European small-cap Private Equity firm, where he managed existing client relationships and engaged in new fundraising initiatives. Neel has also worked at The Blackstone Group, where he covered Hedge Fund Solutions, and Deutsche Bank AG, covering Alternatives and Corporate Finance.
Neel holds a MPhil in Management from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Economics.
